Today on “This Week w/George S.” a member of his gang could
be heard to ask “…why the Democrats have done nothing to reign in the banks and
Wall Street excesses?” None had an
answer and all of them seemed flabbergasted with the reality of it all.
If I may, I would put forth that some combination of two
most likely answers might reflect the reality of it all. First, the Democrat party leaders seem to be on the same
side as the banks and Wall Street, just as most of the mainstream seems to
attribute only to the Republican leadership. And,
secondly, the modern Democratic leaders seem to prefer to blame everything on the Bush
Administration even though such [likely failed] non-policies of the prior administration might
be as much as a decade old – blame and excuses which then appear acceptable to
their constituents because many of the constituents seem content to allow the
Democrats to offer nothing but excuses, apparently.

The prior matter was all that I originally wanted to address
with this blog, but interestingly enough, I believe it was George S. himself at
the very end of the show that spoke of a study out this week which suggested
the best conduct for anyone who is part of a crowd when confronted with a
crazed homicidal gun-man. George said
that the study suggested that the folks in a crowd would be best to run-away
from any crazed homicidal gun-man.
Well…, duh! And the study also
may have suggested that folks in the crowd attempt to show resistance or fight
back.
Of course this begs the question, what do you do when you
can’t merely run-away from a gun-man?
Obviously, from what was said on the show today, even this study seemed
to suggest that an individual try to defend themselves somehow. One can only wonder how one might adequately
accomplish such a defense or what would one use to defend themselves against a
homicidal maniac shooting at everyone – if the current administration and Mayor
Bloomberg have their way. Might the
researchers suggest that folks throw buttered popcorn at the homicidal creep/gun-man? And if the trend continues which has been
promoted by folks like the current presidential administration and Mayor Bloomberg, that’s
likely all a law-abiding citizen will ever have to defend themselves with as
well. Because it seems the currently
promoted trend is to make it illegal for law-abiding Americans to even own any
guns – regardless of the reasons for owning the gun. What's more ironic, is that these same politicians and individuals who seek to curtail or eliminate private gun ownership most likely never go anywhere without an armed guard - or dozens of them.
I suppose maybe I’ll have to try to review the show in its
entirety and to find and read the study to see what is actually in it, no
doubt.
